Our Story

ERA is a project based in our collective desire to connect with our community to work towards healing and restoring our lands and waters. This vision is not just one of land restoration but of food sovereignty. Growing food locally protects land from being cleared elsewhere to produce monoculture grocery store food. Turfgrass monocultures have replaced a complex web of biodiversity. We work with landowners to replace monocultures with adaptive, native, and diverse landscapes to restore the land. Much of the wild land in the US is highly degraded due to continuous historical logging, invasive species, changing rainfall, weather, storms, etc...We also help land owners steward, protect, conserve and enhance wild lands.

We invite landowners to work with us in creating a landscape that suites them and the many other creatures that also call Florida their home. Our work is inherently collaborative. Whether planting orchards or restoring a sandhill habitat, our clients often participate, bringing their own knowledge and wisdom to help shape the land.

Land Acknowledgement

Our work is centered in the original homelands of the Timucua, Potano, Muscogee, Creek and Seminole peoples. We inhabit a space where many enslaved and Indigenous peoples lived- who exist nameless to us due to violent systems that stripped them of identity and history. We are so thankful for their stewardship on this land, and are dedicated to uplifting indigenous and BIPOC land sovereignty in the areas that we work in
